Stewardship
Christian stewards commit themselves to conscious and purposeful decisions empowered by the Holy Spirit. Stewardship fulfills God’s purpose through use of our talent, our time, and our treasure. God has given us great gifts and they are to be shared. Our hope is that you prayerfully consider how to use the gifts with which God has blessed you.
Rally Sunday gives all of us an opportunity to consider our pledge of time and talent but volunteers for ministries at Holy Spirit are welcome at any time. Check the ministries page on the website for information on any ministry; most have a contact listed to get additional information or to volunteer. If there is no contact listed, call the church office. We’ll be glad to help you find your calling.
Stewardship season provides the same type of opportunity for us to consider our pledge of treasure. Typically, stewardship runs from the end of September until mid-November, but you can make a pledge at any time. Use the pledge card link on this web page or call the church office to get a pledge card.
Stewardship is lived out in:
- Living and telling the Good News.
- Employing God-given human resources, abilities, and relationships.
- Sharing the material resources we hold and giving them in service, justice, and compassion.
- Providing for future generations
- Sharing in the life, worship, and responsible stewardship of the Church and of its mission.
Time, talent, and treasure support the work of the Holy Spirit Community from basics like keeping the lights on and paying employees to the greater work of providing for others both inside and outside our community. Check the ministries page to discover the many ways that our members contribute to God’s kingdom.
