Prayer Chain

The prayer chain at Holy Spirit includes about 45 dedicated intercessors who commit to follow the Biblical injunction to “pray for one another” (James 5:16).

They pray for the needs of the church and community that are submitted for the published prayer list each Sunday, as well as requests that come in from various sources during the week. These are sent out by e-mail or regular mail.

Every Daughter of the King is automatically a member of the prayer chain. In addition, they receive a separate, but often overlapping, prayer list that is cumulative for a month, so those requests are lifted up for at least a month.

There is a place on the prayer insert in the Sunday bulletin to have items placed on the DOK list. This is an anonymous ministry in that the names of those who pray are not made public. Only God knows that, but we all have seen answers to these prayers. Anyone in the church who has a heart for prayer and desires to participate is most welcome.
